Why do I only get 5 stories a day?

That's the whole point. Repostel is designed as a daily edition, not an endless feed. Five carefully chosen stories — then you're done. Put your phone down. Come back tomorrow.

A new edition arrives each morning. Previous editions are available in the app if you want to go back.

How are stories selected?

We scan hundreds of sources every few hours for genuinely uplifting news. Every story is then reviewed and approved by a human curator before it reaches you. No algorithm decides alone.

Your ratings (thumbs up/down) also shape what appears over time — the app learns what the community finds genuinely uplifting.

Do I need an account?

No. Repostel works without an account or sign-in. The app uses an anonymous device ID to remember what you've read and to save your ratings.

Is Repostel free?

Yes, Repostel is free. The app is supported by advertising via Google AdMob. There is no subscription and no premium tier.

I see an ad in the feed. How do I opt out of personalised ads?

You can limit ad personalisation in your iPhone settings: go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising and turn off Personalised Ads. You can also adjust tracking preferences under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

How do I delete my data?

Because Repostel doesn't require an account, your data consists only of an anonymous device ID and any ratings you've submitted. To delete it, email us at the address below and include a description of your request. We'll remove all data associated with your device.

A story link isn't opening correctly.

Stories open in the in-app browser. If a link fails to load, try tapping Open in Safari from the share menu. If you continue to see broken links, let us know which story via the email address below.

I have a suggestion for a news source.
